About the Cover
The cover of Thomas the Apostle features the shield of Thomas with a carpenter's square and a spear. Thomas was a carpenter and often used a carpenter's square, shown in white (simply two pieces of metal joined at a right angle to use when squaring off materials). The spear shows how he was martyred in Mylapore, Chennai, South India, on the Bay of Bengal.
The background is of the beach of Mylapore, where both Thomas and the author walked many times. Revealing and uplifting, this stunning and epic debut novel set 2,000 years ago follows Thomas, the questioning apostle, as he makes his way from Jerusalem through Parthia to South India.
